Ditto
Story Information
Ditto, the Transform pokemon. Ditto is capable of copying an enemy's genetic code to instantly transform itself into a duplicate of the enemy.
Jen read the page on Ditto again, having read it several times before. She wanted a Ditto so badly. A pokemon that could transform into anything! Wow! She continued to study the page, anxiously clicking her spare pokeball open and closed, open and closed, open, close. Then she stood up and closed the book on pokemon. She was determined to get a Ditto. It was still early in the morning, surely she could find one before day's end. She attached her pokeball container her first and only pokemon - Ivy, an Oddish - and set out to Route 15, since it was relatively close to her home in Fuchsia City, and where she caught Ivy.
First, she decided to hunt for any pokemon that were of a pink/purple color, like a Ditto. The only things she found was a venomoth, which was put to sleep by a quick sleep powder, and a Gloom, which can't currently move due to paralysis by spore. It was already noon now, and not a single Ditto. In frustration, she recalled that Ditto could transform into any pokemon. Therefore it would be a good idea to attack every pokemon, right? The result was several sleeping, paralyzed, or fainted pokemon. She would never find a Ditto today.
She passed through a bush to find another Venonat. Her fourth one today. She sighed and said, "Ivy, use sludge bomb." The Oddish produced a toxic sludge within it's hair of grass and tossed it at the Venonat. The Venonat then produced a hole in its center, itself distorting to open a hole to allow the sludge bomb to pass through, the hole having a pinkish outline. After the sludge passed through the opening, the Venonat promptly closed the hole, and returned to being a normal Venonat. Jen, and her Ivy, both stared in some form of disbelief, then Jen reacted promptly, saying "Ivy, use sleep powder!" Ivy, however, had a different idea of what to do.
Ivy had not had breakfast, nor lunch, since she and Jen had been attempting to find a Ditto all day. She wasn't about to turn on her trainer, but she had a different "move" she was going to attempt on the Ditto-Venonat. Instead of flipping and spray a sleep powder all over the pokemon, she used Solar Beam to force the Ditto to distort again (albeit causing some collateral damage). As she expected, the Ditto dodged the solar beam with ease, producing another hole in itself. However, before the Venonat could reseal itself, Ivy flung through the hole, using her mouth to grab part of the gooey unsealed inside. The Ditto-Venonat had now sealed itself, but had a portion of itself strung out, connecting to Ivy's mouth. The Oddish slurped in the string of Ditto goo. She had only wanted something to eat, but... it was tasty too! It was sweet, like the rare candies Jen sometimes gave her. She tasted it further in her mouth. The texture was like that of a gel, a pudding? Kind of like a very soft PokeBlock. She swallowed, and oh, the feeling of having it going down your throat! It was like water, except it remained longer, and warmed up your insides! She swallowed more of it, enjoying every second of it.
Jen noticed something strange, it looked like her pokemon was being... muffled by the Ditto! Jen, fearing for her Oddish, leaped onto the Venonat, which resulted in her instead falling into a pile of Ditto. Hoping this meant the Ditto was temporarily disabled, and no longer able to suffocate her pokemon, she looked up toward Ivy. Ivy's eyes were closed, the Ditto goo still inside her mouth and... Jen and the goo were getting closer to Ivy? Jen felt like she was being pulled toward Ivy while sliding on a water slide, and noticed that Ivy's eyes were closed in what appeared to be oblivious bliss. She began to try to get up, but found herself stuck to the moving goo of Ditto.
Ditto was panicking. It was not about to let itself be ingested! It used shrink, shrinking its size by about a third. This change was noticed by Ivy, as the Ditto's consistency decreased and the mass also decreased. She did notice, however, that it would be easier for her to swallow the Ditto now. She continued to slurp softer, making careful now that the Ditto was softer.
Jen noticed that suddenly, the world around her was a lot bigger. She looked forward, and the Oddish appeared to be at least a few feet tall, whereas at normal size, it was only about one foot tall, from her view anyways. She realized that the shrink move Ditto had done must have affected her too... but amplified! If she had to guess, she was about one inch tall... puny in comparison to Ivy's one foot tall! She attempted to scream out a call to her Ivy, but the pokemon didn't seem to notice. She watched dreadfully as she was slurped up in a reverse waterfall of pink goo into the Oddish's mouth. Ivy's mouth was very warm and humid, like being in a greenhouse. It was also very slimy, and impossible to grab a hold, even with the current of Ditto gel entering the mouth and falling down the throat. She tried to grab onto the tongue, vainly, which did appear to notice a different taste momentarily... A salty, soft-but-solid taste. But the taste disappeared quickly, being washed down into the slimy throat. She heard, all around her, as her Oddish repeatedly gulped down the Ditto and Jen, albeit unknowingly.
Jen reached the stomach, which appeared to be fairly small, but could probably contain herself and Ditto, since Ditto thought it was a good idea to shrink. Indeed, and she watched as the remainder of the Ditto flowed in through the stomach opening, and finally, the face of the Ditto, now full of fear. It saw Jen, sitting unhappily in the Ditto's goo, and attempted to smile innocently. Jen was about to yell at it when the entire stomach shook as Ivy sat down and let out a loud, satisfactory and victorious belch. It patted and rubbed its stomach cheerfully, then looked up and around for Jen. Where was she? Did she leave? No, not once in five years had Jen left Ivy alone outside of her pokeball. The Oddish stood up, half-panicking, which caused her to burp one more time.
Jen was pouting over her fate, consumed by her own pokemon, until she noticed that the Oddish outside sounded like she was... crying! Jen, hearing this felt sorrow, then hope. She swam to the surface of the stomach, where there was a bit of air and no Ditto goo. As loud as she could, Jen yelled "IVY! IT'S ME! JEN!" Outside, the Oddish perked up, looking for the source of the noise. Jen acknowledged this, and yelled even louder. "IVY!" The Oddish perked up again, and this time, correctly, looked down toward her stomach. "Odd?" Ivy asked, questioningly and fearfully. Jen let out a sigh of relief, then said, "Okay, Ivy, can you get me out of here?" Ivy thought momentarily, then responded "Oddi!". A faint glimmer of hope rose up in Jen, and expecting the way out to be up the way she came, she waited by the stomach's entrance. As she thought, with a gagging sound coming from the Oddish, the hole to the throat opened up, pulling her and Ditto back into the throat and up into the mouth. Ivy coughed one final time, Jen flying out, landing softly on the grass but still covered in gooey, warm Oddish saliva. She turned back toward her Ivy, who was smiling happily, now that Jen was safe, and had a string of pink goo hanging out of her mouth. Once again delighted by the taste, Ivy quickly slurped the Ditto back up. Jen walked over to her Oddish and listened as Ivy swallowed the Ditto back down her throat, and let out another belch.
Now that they were finished with the Ditto, Jen and Ivy sat down to think up a way to get Jen back to normal. Jen suddenly jolted up with an "Oh!" and turned toward Ivy. In an idea that sounded good in her head, Jen told Ivy to try and focus the energy of Growth, then turn it toward Jen rather than herself. Focusing in what appeared to be stress, since this had never been tried before, a white glow appeared in Ivy's whitish hair, which was slightly dimmer than that of a solar beam. Bending down, Ivy pointed at Jen and let go of the whitish energy, which quickly flowed into her. Jen suddenly felt prickly all over again, like when she was shrinking, and watched as everything around her grew smaller until... she was normal size again! She looked at her hands and around her in disbelief, saying "Ivy, you did it!" She looked down at her pokemon, who appeared close to exhaustion. She picked up her Oddish, and hugged it tight, and Ivy smiled back. And hearing the gurgles of Oddish's stomach it occurred to her... She didn't really at all dislike being inside Oddish. In fact she found it sort of... enjoyable. "Ivy... when you ate me... I don't like being digested, but being inside your stomach otherwise... It was soft, and comfy. Like chairs, or grass." Ivy perked up at this, now smiling cheerfully and starstruck. "Ivy, when we get home, I'm going to teach you that move Ditto, did - Shrink!"
