Anything to Win

Story Information

Day 7. The last day of the fishing tourney. You've had quite the run, catching just over 9000 centimeters of fish. You even managed to avoid buying Chip's damned golden rod, despite his advertising. That beaver just wanted more fish to stuff his gut with. Though this tourney's fish seemed suspiciously… more than usual. It wasn't really your place to be concerned over, but each time you caught those brightly colored squids and octopuses you could swear they made noises a bit too Animalese for your liking.

It didn't stop you from aiming for victory. That golden trophy and other assorted random prizes were waiting just beyond. This was the last three hours though! It was late at night and the sea breeze was downright chilly. You could barely make out shadows in the water thanks to the moonlight. Fortunately, the tugging on your fishing rod was always a surefire sign of something to catch. You pulled back hard, ripping one-- no wait, two!-- pink squids out of the water. They warbled something close to speech in your hands as you quickly judged their size.

That was all the fish for now. For the rest of the tourney. It would be close, but you hoped this would be enough to snag you that gold trophy. Stuffing them in your pocket, you headed over to Chip. On the way there, you saw Marina standing out near the water, staring out to sea. She noticed you and waved pleasantly, to which you simply nodded. You knew she probably had requests, but they could wait a few more minutes. For now, you craved ranking and validation for feeding dozens upon dozens of critters to a very hungry beaver.

Chip was waiting patiently next to his little cooler, as always. You weren't really sure why he even had that cooler, it's not like he saves anything. He noticed you walk up with some eagerness, already wanting to get his paws on whatever food-- er, fish-- you had. "Heya, pal!" he said, with far too much eagerness for one at night. You told him you had more fish for him, pulling a wet paper bag out of your pocket. The appearance wasn't going to stop him, the fishy smell already had a grip on his senses. "Alrighty! I'll just go ahead and get measuring…"

Snatching your baggy, he turned around at the subtle speed of whiplash and quickly started slurping down the squids and octopuses. Him turning around really didn't prevent any sort of image from manifesting in your mind, just hearing him swallowing and eating all so loudly. Not to mention, there was always the moment he turned around. Chip was heavily padded for sure and he wore a vest on top of that. But whenever he turned around, from the side profile, you could make out quite the rippling outlines of whatever you'd just fed him.

"BUUURP!" he 'said' as he turned back, spraying some spittle on you. He bashfully wiped his mouth and said, "Pardon me!" as he always does when he does that. You were used to it. More importantly, you were wondering if you hit the goal. "Not this time buddy! But if you go out and get me some more fish…" He looked at you with a very sly look though it just made you annoyed. There were no more fish for now! And there wouldn't be before the tourney was up. Giving you a different sly look, he said, "Well, you could get a tourney throw net if you--" You shook your head again, frustrated. "Well, come back if you find some more, nyuk nyuk!" Chip chuckled a bit.

You ran your fingers through your hair, unsure what to do. Even if you wanted to buy that net, you didn't have enough leaf tickets for it. You definitely didn't have the time or level to go running around doing requests in hopes of getting a few spare tickets thrown your way either. As you stood in the cold sand, you stared down the rest of the beach at the normal sea life, palm trees, seashells, Marina…

            Marina.

Something clicked in your mind, something unethical. You couldn't… Would he… Would anyone… The only thing in your mind was her resemblance to the pink squids you'd just fed to Chip moments ago. The golden trophy waiting for you if you could just get a few more centimeters' worth of fish. This would be more than enough. Yes, well over the limit. You could even get some of those special prizes, just for their own sake. You looked at Chip, then back to Marina, then around the beach to make sure your surroundings were clear. Determined, you headed over to the pink octopus admiring the ocean view.

She was peacefully enjoying the wavering reflection of the mostly-full moon when she heard the sand crunching to your approach. Turning towards you, she said, "Nice night out, isn't it!" You nodded, not really listening to the casual conversation. "Got a question for me, blurp?" Politely, you told her your request, though maybe not with many details. You simply asked if you could turn her in for the tourney. She paused for a moment, giving it sincere thought. Then she started laughing, "Sure! I'm not doing much else tonight… I can be your last entry if he'll accept me, blurp."

You weren't sure she really understood the circumstances, but oh well. You were gonna win! Heading back over to Chip once again, hopefully for the actual last time, Marina followed you. Chip noticed you and smiled, then started gaping once he saw who was behind you. It seemed like he was almost uncontrollably drooling, with how he quickly wiped up his face as you two approached. His flapping tail behind him revealed his feelings as well. He struggled to keep on his cool demeanor, saying, "H-Hey y'all… Got any fish for me…?"

You almost wanted to laugh at how nervous he seemed, while Marina seemed cheerfully oblivious. You told him Marina was here as your last catch. The beaver turned his head slowly, still rather in disbelief yet very, very excited. "Marina? Are y-you okay with this?"

Still not reading the tone, she nodded and smiled with her eyes. "Yup! Anything to help a friend."

Chip nodded, turning to a grin now and regaining his confidence. "Nyuk nyuk nyuk! Let's get to measuring!" You wanted to turn away, but something about the whole situation gripped you. Showing off a previously untapped well of strength, the beaver grabbed Marina's sides and easily lifted her off the ground. She exclaimed at this, but she was too busy looking at you to notice Chip licking his lips and then gaping the widest you've ever seen on an animal. Then he plunged in Marina's head, pretty solidly grabbing her attention.

This may have been the biggest meal Chip's ever eaten, but it didn't seem like that was going to stop him at all. He was still trying to swallow her whole like every other sea creature he'd encountered. Marina was just the biggest meal of a lifelong buffet. Marina's tentacles were flying all over, attempting to grip onto anything. You had to dodge some particularly wild waves and used that as a sign to take an extra step back. Most of Marina's tentacles stuck to Chip in some way, though it wasn't really accomplishing anything. He was just savoring her rather bulbous head and she seemed secure in his mouth.

A loud gulllp announced that he was moving on, eager to get her into his belly. There wasn't much of a throat for you to see, but she was instantly visible in his gut. Her face barely showed up through the beaver's flesh, just like all his other meals. The grip of her suckers was somehow no match for his hungry maw. Slowly, they popped off his face and body as he slurped up her tentacles, audible gulps every time. Now she was starting to make quite an impression on Chip's belly, pushing out more and even starting to displace his vest a bit.

All of this was… uncomfortable in some ways, yet maybe too enthralling in others. Chip was just unstoppable, never even hesitating or choking to keep on swallowing down your catch. It suddenly occurred to you, you had no idea what Marina's requests were for tonight. Maybe you should've done those first, but it seemed too late for that now. You wouldn't want to try sticking your hands in that. You could hear her mumbling from inside Chip, though it was inaudible from the safe distance you were at. Instead you watched as the last of her tentacles hanging onto the edges of his lips vanished inside.

For a moment, his cheeks bulged with octopus tentacles that he was relishing. Then the next moment, they were falling into his stomach with the rest of her and a rather loud glllulp-pop! as they did. Riding down that last swallow, Chip satisfiedly hung his tongue out of his mouth. When he relaxed it popped his vest, sending a button flying into your face at rather painful speeds. As you winced, and it bounced off into the sand, he laughed heartily. Then, that turned into a loudly wet belch which you still somehow managed to get spittle from, even over this distance. You silently thanked yourself that you weren't closer.

"Nyuk nyuk nyuk nyuk!!" Chip cackled. "Well done, well done! You've urrrp definitely reached a total-size goal." He seemed more fascinated with his own gut than the tourney at this point. It was definitely the largest you've seen him. Marina made a clear shape, one which was constantly shifting and struggling beneath his flesh. Noticing your impatient stare, he reached into his pocket and pulled out a rather large gold-wrapped present. "You get everything this time, since this is the most stuffed I've been in… Well, ever, nyuk."

You couldn't believe your luck. Had you known all you needed to do to get everything was feed him someone, you could've done that ages ago! It would've saved so much time… Maybe this should be a regular thing? You looked up from your gold-wrapped gift to realize Chip was gesturing at you for some reason. Quickly putting away your gift, you walked a bit closer to figure out what he wanted. As you did, you noticed his belly was somehow smoothed over again. It was bigger than it was before, but not bumpy with Marina's outline. You knew his metabolism was fast, but he couldn't have already…

Before you could quite finish that thought, Chip stifled something and said, "I've got one more reward for you." Then he put all his power into a horrifically wet belch that was probably audible even at your campsite. Beaver saliva dripped down your face in the cold beach air but was quickly overridden by a wet fabric slapping onto it. You peeled it off quickly, dimly trying to see what hit you. It was… Marina's bubble-gum tee. A bit acid-worn now, but still mostly intact. You looked past Chip, who just smacked his belly and started guffawing. "That's it for this tourney! But if you want some quick prizes next time, maybe we can talk about a similar arrangement, nyuk nyuk."

Standing there with saliva-soaked face and a partially-digested shirt in your hands, it was hard to believe you were even considering doing this again. Or maybe not so much. You still felt a bit conflicted over seeing Chip full of a bigger, livelier meal. And after all, you'd do anything to win.
