Digestive Mishaps with Pokemon - Item Retrieval

Story Information

The robbery was going smoothly. As it turns out, even department stores don’t have much security when you’re armed with a foreign goodra. Erik had gotten a tip from a friend of a friend that the Celadon Department Store was also holding some rather precious materials in a secret room on the top floor. Finding it was no problem, breaking in was. A steel door stood in the way behind the secret wall panel, something that would be nearly impossible to break into. With something weaker than a goodra anyway.

He glanced at Laverna, then towards the door. Then he moved out of the way as the gooey dragon stepped in front of it. Laverna opened her maw, pink energy charging inside. Then the energy suddenly burst forward, punching a hole through the door and revealing its innards. Fortunately, while some stuff directly in front of said hole was scorched, the real treasure was on the floor. She pried open the hole further, allowing Erik to lean in and pick up a silvery suitcase on the side.

“I wonder what’s inside, eh?” Laverna gurgled happily as her trainer reached his objective. At that moment, they noticed red and blue lights coming through the slitted windows, so they moved up to the roof (after busting through another door). Indeed, five floors below, some cops had arrived and were moving into the building. Laverna became skittish while Erik looked around over the rooftop edges. He determined the best course of action would be for Laverna, carrying him, to jump to the top of some nearby condos.

“Laverna, you ready? You’re going to have to carry me and our stuff and jump to that roof.” With solid directions again, she regained her confidence. She easily lifted up her trainer under her right arm and his stuff in her left, then ran and leaped. As they fell through the air, there were several seconds where Erik felt like he was certainly going to die on impact. He shut his eyes before they landed, not wanting to see whether or not he was right. He felt Laverna land on her feet, slide a bit, then fall down rather roughly and send him skidding further in the process.

When he recovered, the first thing he saw was his goodra also recovering, rubbing her head. The second thing he saw was, in fact, not seeing some of the stuff he’d stolen. He quickly ran to the edge of the roof, trying to spot if anything had landed in the streets, particularly that suitcase. It was night, but he couldn’t see anything under the streetlights. He scratched his head and turned around to face Laverna, now standing up. He was about to tell her they needed to go scout the ground when his eyes fell to her gut.

In his time with Laverna, he knew her to be slimy. She would often hug him, leaving him drenched, or she would sometimes be a little more flexible than expected on heists. But he didn’t know goodras were all slime. This was new. Inside of her gut there were some random goods, money, and finally the suitcase prominently in the middle. None of them moved unless she did, as if suspended in jello. His jaw dropped, looking up and down at her until finally he smacked his face and exasperatedly said, “Laverna...!”

Confused, she finally looked down at her own belly to see what made him react like that. She couldn’t see all of it, but she did definitely see that suitcase. She covered her face and made an embarrassed warbling noise. After a minute more to collect himself and think of options, Erik finally spoke up again. “Okay. If it can just... slide in, I can slide it back out. No big deal.” He was talking himself up more than anything as he started to roll up his sleeves. “Laverna... I’m going to reach inside and grab it. Just... stand still.”

She did, though she wasn’t entirely comfortable with the idea of him reaching inside her. To be fair, neither was he. He put his hand on the surface of her tummy and started to push, waiting for it to give way. He looked away until finally he heard a wet splurt and felt his hand sink into something like warm cream. Looking back, his hand was just beneath Laverna’s surface. He took a deep breath and kept pushing, finding it easier now. Soon he was all the way up to his elbow, then to his shoulder... Still no suitcase.

Erik turned to look again. He was uncomfortably close to Laverna’s belly, but he was still out of reach of the suitcase. “Damn.” He didn’t really want to go in much further but... It was supposed to be worth an awful lot of money. He leaned more into Laverna, his cheek resting on the outside of her chest. His fingers swung at the suitcase, but still nothing. Then, startling both parties, half of his body fell inside the jelly belly.

While he by no means enjoyed being off the ground and having his entire top half submerged inside his pokemon, this meant he was in fact able to reach the suitcase. He dragged it close to his chest, securing it. Now he just had to get back out. Looking back towards where he entered, he tried to move his legs back to the ground. This had the unfortunate effect of submerging his legs as he moved them down, due to Laverna’s naturally paunchy belly. Now only his shoes barely remained outside.

Erik was once again starting to feel that he’d made a grave mistake. His only hope now would be that Laverna could get him out. Unfortunately, Laverna was also feeling anxious as her trainer slipped deeper inside her own belly. Erik started speaking to her again but it came out muffled, as if he was underwater. She had an idea of what he wanted her to do, but her hands weren’t human hands. They dripped slime and lacked thumbs to grip things with. So when she reached for his feet, the best she managed to do was pulling his shoes off. And in turn, the last of Erik slipped into her gut.

He yelled as that happened, although he wasn’t sure if it was anger or fear. He tried desperately to think of a way out, but he couldn’t move. The all-encompassing slime held onto him fast, leaving him only able to rotate around. Laverna listened through a few more muffled instructions but it was impossible to tell what he meant. And she realized she was tired. He wasn’t food, but it felt an awful like she had just had the biggest meal of her life. So she walked over to the roof entry and sat down next to the door. There wasn’t anything more for her to do, so hopefully he could get out on his own.

In the early morning, after performing a search of the area, two officers busted onto the roof of the condos witnesses reported the heisters landing on. The rooftop was mostly empty but there was some stuff scattered across it. Then, right behind the door, they heard a loud snore. They peeked around it and found the reported goodra, although the trainer was nowhere to be seen. However, inside the sleeping pokemon they could see the valuable suitcase and an indistinct black blob surrounding it. The officers looked at each other, shrugged, and reported in.
