Josh woke up normally like it was any other day. Well, a day in which he had nothing to do. Today was August 8th, a monday, but fortunately classes hadn’t quite started yet. He hopped out of bed and grabbed his phone, noting his bunkmate was already up. He walked to the kitchen, still just wearing a t-shirt and boxers. As he did, he noticed his roommates already up, all playing some game on the TV. He glanced their way, but kept on the way he was going. He pulled a bowl from the cabinet, got cereal, milk, and a spoon, and sat down at the table, facing away from the rest of them.
Nothing like social media to start the day. He scrolled between spoonfuls of cereal. Josh’s timeline was, especially in the morning, devoid of content. Mostly headlines, some art shared by people he followed. Those were nice, but he was curious what else was going on, if anything. He slid over to the “Trending” section of the app, looking for something more interesting. More news, awful and not particularly fun to talk about.
There was something odd, though. A trending hashtag with no description. Several thousand posts all about some ‘#VoreDay’. Scrolling through the trend found lots of people reacting to it. And finally, it was revealed to be... Drawings of people eating each other? Whole? Josh scoffed out loud and said, “Hey guys, you see this trending? Something called ‘vore day’?”
Josh’s roommates were three other guys. One of them was a good friend of his from high school, a calico cat named Crew. He had a real competitiveness to him, always doing stupid stunts as a result. The other two were mostly his friends, a green dragon that went by Elzo, and a fat seagull called Silas. They both matched Crew’s attitude towards things, though it seemed to manifest as a bit of an edge in Elzo and was tempered in Silas. As for Josh, while he enjoyed their antics, he didn’t usually partake. He was also the only human in their group.
The first one to react was Elzo, since he had already lost that round of whatever game they were playing. He leaned back and hung his long neck upside down off the back off of the couch, facing Josh. “No. What is it?”
Turning towards them with an amused expression he said, “It’s apparently some kind of holiday for... get this... eating people. Whole.”
Elzo’s expression was unreadable, especially upside-down, but he didn’t get a chance to respond verbally. Instead, Crew suddenly pumped his fist and shouted “FUCK yes! Eat shit, Silas.” He then turned around with one arm on the couch and said, “Sounds freaky. How do they even fit?”
Silas responded while Josh scrolled through some more, shaking his head. “It’s probably not real, just like drawings and shit, right? Also fuck you Crew, I would’ve won if it wasn’t for the two of you focusing me earlier.”
Josh answered, “Yeah it’s mostly just drawings and some photoshop I guess? Most people,” he chuckled, “are just talking about how fucked up it is.”
Silas turned back to face the TV and said, “C’mon Crew, how about a rematch?”
Crew swung back around and picked up his controller. “Pff, alright! Elzo, get ready to ‘focus’ this dude again. Josh, you wanna join?”
Josh responded, “Sure,” but when he looked up he saw Elzo had lifted his head up and was whispering something in Crew’s ear. The cat grew a grin and agreed to whatever he heard, shaking Elzo’s hand. Then he got up and started walking towards Josh with a certain determination. “Uh, Crew? What are you doing?”
He just replied, “Open up, J-man.”
Josh was confused. For a second there he thought Crew was going to try eating him, but now he wasn’t sure what he meant. “What, you mean open my mouth or-- MGHMPH?!” Mid-sentence, he suddenly found a furry paw wedged entirely within his mouth. “WHTHFFUF?!” He shouted, not very clear with his friend’s paw in there. Crew looked like he was trying to dig into a cookie jar from his expression. But then another paw reached in and started to pry his jaws apart.
His eyes squeezed shut from the strain. He thought his head was going to snap, but then he heard and felt an oddly pleasing pop, like he had just cracked his knuckles. Then something way bigger fit inside his mouth. Whatever Crew put in was nudging against the back of his throat, and he found himself wanting to choke. But it wasn’t budging. He heard Crew say, awfully close to him somewhere he couldn’t quite tell, “C’mon man, just swallow so you don’t choke.” Josh was hardly one to argue, so he did.
Whatever he’d just swallowed was quick to fill up his throat entirely. He could still hardly open his eyes but he did hear Silas let out an awestruck, “Whoa.” Unable to see what was going on, he could only guess. His hands were busy bracing himself in his chair, but he could feel that whatever he was being forced to eat must be massive. He felt like a whole steak was going down at once, but it just kept going. His jaws were just stretching a little more, his cheeks a little wider. And the oddest part was he realized he was still tasting... fur?
He forced himself to open his eyes a little bit again as he continued to swallow. At this point for the sake of not choking, if nothing else. The first thing he saw was his other two roommates who were still on the couch. Silas was propping himself up on the back, beak agape. Elzo was next to him, but his head was low. He seemed to be watching with some sort of amusement? Crew was... He couldn’t see him looking side-to-side. But looking down, barely in sight, he could see his calico back. He put two and two together and said, “CRMMPH?!”
As some sort of answer, he felt the cat on his tongue (and deeper inside) wriggle. Involuntarily, he swallowed again. It was becoming automatic now, squeezing his friend down his throat. He wanted to stop, but he could hardly hack him up at this point. He still couldn’t believe he was even managing this at all, it wasn’t like they were very different in size. How far was he? An answer came to him when he felt a tail slide under his teeth. Almost done... almost done... From the pit of his stomach he could feel an increasingly lively, filling presence. If it wasn’t for the fact he was still swallowing, he might be sick.
Finally, he reached the end. His gulps switched from automatic to manual and arduous as he finished up. The sounds GLRK hff hff followed each swallow as he struggled. Just his feet left. He squeezed his eyes shut and swallowed as hard as he could manage, letting out a rather audible SHLORK as they disappeared down his throat. Within just a few more strenuous seconds they were gone, out of his throat and into his belly. Josh gasped as they left, taking long hard breaths to catch up with having not done so in a minute or so.
The first thing he heard was Elzo, who casually said, “Damn, I wasn’t sure he’d manage it.”
Josh could hardly believe he’d managed it either. Or was he talking about Crew cramming himself down his throat in the first place? Either way, the evidence was clear. He looked down at his belly, visible for everyone to see. His shirt had ridden up and it was bulging out everywhere, barely avoiding sagging off his chair while a rather wriggly figure shifted around inside. Seeing his own gut like that made him feel sick, but all that came out was a wet buuuwoorup.
One of Crew’s paws suddenly pressed against his stomach from inside, very visibly as if his skin was thinner than it was. “Elzo, you seein’ this?! I knew I could do it.”
Josh groaned. “Please don’t move so much... What did you agree to, even?”
“Elzo bet me fifty bucks I couldn’t fit in your belly. And guess who’s got four paws and fifty more bucks? This guy.” He made a gesture nobody could see besides the brief imprint of elbows in Josh’s stomach.
Silas still seemed mostly stunned, but he muttered, “Damn, only fifty bucks?”
Quickly, Elzo turned to Silas with a sly smile. “Bet you a hundred you won’t go in mine.”
Silas turned and looked up at his friend, suddenly rather tall. It would certainly be an easier fit than in Josh. It was maybe against his better judgment, but Crew seemed fine. “...Deal,” he said, still unsure. The dragon got off the couch and kneeled next to it, laying his head and neck across like a snake. He opened his maw and pointed inside, inviting Silas to climb in as Crew did. Silas gulped, then reached inside.
His hand first met a slimy, thick tongue that made him recoil. But he had to keep going for the money, as well as the bet, so he did. He reached further in towards the back of Elzo’s throat, which resulted in him slipping and falling onto the dragon’s tongue entirely. He complained, “Gross...” but then, feasibly to help him, he felt Elzo’s tongue wrap around his lower half that was hanging outside. Darkness surrounded him and then a loud GLORK pulled him into a much tighter, wetter, hotter space.
Unlike Josh and Crew’s difficult journey, Silas’s was going much faster. That one gulp pulled him into the throat, but a second, meatier one pulled the rest in. Even his belly wasn’t enough to slow Elzo down. He formed a distinct bulge in the dragon’s long throat, which Josh was able to watch clearly go down once Elzo stood back up. It looked like it took no effort at all. Soon enough, the seagull had slipped into that round, pear-shaped belly of his, bloating it slightly but not making so much as a lump.
“Hey J-man? What’s going on out there?” Josh’s attention broke as his stomach spoke up, also groaning as if to remind him of his nausea.
He stifled a burp and said, “Uh, Elzo just bet Silas a hundred dollars he wouldn’t do the same thing you did.”
His stomach suddenly jerked and Crew shouted, “A hundred?! Damn, I knew I should’ve negotiated...” Josh could hardly respond, doing his best to avoid throwing up everything. “Did he do it?”
Josh looked up from being slightly keeled over and saw Elzo walking towards him with a belly that was noticeably sloshing from side-to-side. “Yeah, he did... Urgh.”
Elzo pulled over a chair and sat across from him, his chair creaking as he did. He reached over to Josh’s belly and placed a hand on it, forcing an involuntary moan out of him. “So, Crew, how are you doing in there?”
Crew shifted around again as he restlessly tended to. “It sucks!” He shouted. “It’s hot and wet and smells like shit in here. Not to mention I think I’m lying in his breakfast.”
Elzo chuckled, then looked up at Josh. “How’s it feel for you?”
“He’s right, this does suck.” He paused to stifle something and continued, “When are we going to let them out?”
Elzo smiled and leaned back. “Oh, I was thinking maybe... never?”
At once, everyone else in unison shouted, “WHAT?”
Ignoring the other two, Elzo focused on Josh. “Look.” He poked a single claw on his stomach, right on top of Crew’s head. “He’s already in your stomach. Why not let nature run its course?”
Josh struggled to respond as Crew started to move around more, but he managed to say, “T-They’re our friends, not food!”
Elzo shrugged his shoulders and rested a hand on his own belly. “They all digest the same. It’s not our fault they were stupid enough to crawl into our guts.”
Before Josh could respond again, Crew punched his stomach from the inside. “You were the one that got us to do this!” Josh clutched his stomach and mumbled to himself to try and hold together.
Elzo casually said, “Hey, you could’ve backed out.” He smiled again and shook his own gut. “How are you doing in there, Silas?”
“Y-You’re not really going to digest me, are you? We’re friends!” Despite trying to convince himself otherwise, he could definitely feel fluids all around him, soaking his feathers.
“And I’ve wanted you since the day I first laid eyes on you, my juicy feathered friend. Just had to think of a good time to get you down.” He licked his lips, savoring Silas’s flavor.
Josh couldn’t believe what was happening. He’d been awake less than an hour and now one of his best friends was going to be... his lunch? Crew was really starting to writhe around now, and the sensation was sickening. He bent over, squishing his gut against the chair, and actually tried to throw up. But nothing was coming.
Elzo watched with some amusement. “I think you’ll find it’s harder to get them back up than get them down. But I could help with the discomfort if you let me...”
Josh looked up, pain plain across his face. The offer was tempting, but it was his friend. He wasn’t just food. His stomach let out a rather long, rumbly growl, one that he actually hoped was from indigestion. He swallowed his discomfort and said, “Elzo, please... If you don’t help me out, I’ll... I’ll call the police!”
The threat earned a scoff. Elzo held up Josh’s phone in his hand and simply said, “With what phone? Look, Josh, just let it happen. You need some meat on your bones anyway. It’s ‘vore day’, right? We’re celebrating!” He shook his belly around and said, “Right, Silas?”
Silas was terrified, still wanting to believe this wasn’t real. Just like he had said earlier. “Can I celebrate out there? I promise I won’t... do anything...” It was a pretty empty promise, they both knew. But certainly anything was better than being smelted down in a dragon’s gut.
“Hmm... I think I like you just where you are.” He smushed his belly around with his hand like it was a waterbed. The sight made Josh feel nauseous, even if he knew Silas was still plenty solid in there. Elzo looked back over and said with a sing-song tune, “Jooosh, he’ll feel better when he’s softer!”
Josh didn’t know if that was true, but even if it was, the point was he still didn’t want to digest Crew. “No, I-I need to find help!” He mustered all his strength to stand up, although all the weight inside his belly made him incredibly unsteady. Not to mention with each movement of his gut it pulled him in that direction. “Crew, please, stop moving...” He pleaded, followed by another sickly burp.
Crew kicked him from inside and said, “What, so you can digest me?? Just spit me out!” Josh definitely would if he could, but he wasn’t able to respond directly. Instead, the kick had sent him completely off balance, falling to the ground. He had hardly gone a few steps from his chair when he rather suddenly met the ground and passed out.

“...Shut the fuck up and digest. Josh? Are you awake?”
Josh groaned. He had a killer pain in the side of his head, but at least he was laying on a pillow. A pillow? He jerked upright and very quickly felt nauseous. Elzo was sitting at the end of the couch and looking mildly concerned. He looked down at the dragon’s belly, then much slower he looked down at his own... Still heavily distended and lumpy belly. “Oh god... I was hoping it was a nightmare. How long was I out?” He asked, laying his head back down on the pillow.
He heard Elzo get up and come stand by him. “Almost an hour? But you didn’t seem hurt, so I just picked you up and put you on the couch. How are you feeling?”
“Fuck you.”
Elzo frowned. “It’ll get easier if you let me help.”
“I don’t want your help, I want help getting my friend out!”
The dragon rolled his eyes. “Look, even if you could, he’s been in there a while. I know your stomach’s struggling, but... It would be easier for both of you if you just relax.”
Josh looked at his stomach again, tentatively placing a hand over what he believed to be Crew’s head. It was still solid. After a few seconds, another bump came to knock his hand away. “Fuck off Elzo... when I get out of here, I’m gonna slurp you down like a noodle.” Crew’s muffled threat attempted to disguise his fatigue, but it was still noticeable. Josh thought about how long an hour must be in a place like that. Maybe...
He shook his head. “No... I have to get him out somehow. Where-” He glanced down toward Elzo’s gut. “Where’s Silas?”
Elzo smiled and gestured towards it. “Why don’t you feel for him?” Josh looked up at the dragon’s mischievous expression and back down. He lifted up his hand and began rubbing over that smooth dome for any sign of life, but it seemed still besides some churning. “Don’t be shy. Push your hand in.” Josh grunted and put some more force into it. His hand sank further than he expected for such a scaly belly, like it was made of dough.
Finally, he relented. “I can’t... find him.”
Elzo kneeled down next to Josh and looked him in the eyes. “That’s because he’s not there anymore. Not really. My stomach’s much stronger than yours so by now he’s nothing but mush, pumping through my intestines. Getting absorbed into my body. Restructuring as fat elsewhere. Not gone, really, just different.” He smiled at that last part, a strange one that Josh wasn’t sure implied he was still ‘alive’ in a way or just his own amusing view of what happened.
He nodded his head towards Josh’s own gut and said, “I could help you get there too. Crew wouldn’t necessarily be gone, but he’ll feel better once he’s reduced to soup. And maybe you’ll gain a few pounds.” Josh’s mouth opened as if to say something, but nothing came out. Elzo simply continued, “What do you say, hmm?”
Josh couldn’t respond. He knew it wasn’t right. But was there anything else he could do? He couldn’t get him out on his own, and it didn’t seem like he could go anywhere either. Despite how much he hated the situation, there was something alluring about just letting his problems melt away. And... Elzo was right, it wasn’t his fault. It was Elzo’s. And Crew’s. He always knew something bad would happen from their antics, he just didn’t think it’d be... this.
Unable to bring himself to verbal agreement, he settled for nodding. At least that way, Crew couldn’t hear his betrayal. Elzo grinned with all his sharp teeth visible and said, “Great! I knew you’d see things my way.” He shifted sideways to Josh’s belly, an uncomfortably shaped bundle of flesh. The cat inside had stopped moving so much after the earlier incident, but he was still clearly there. Elzo looked back at Josh and said, “This might hurt a little.”
“What are-” Elzo suddenly pushed down, hard, right about where his navel is. The effect was immediate, replacing what he was about to say with an increasingly loud “-rrrrooOOOUUUURRRRRRRPPPPP!” He covered his mouth as soon as it finished, all the while Elzo just casually relaxed on top of his belly.
Crew spoke up first, saying, “Fuck, J-Man, what the hell was that? It’s like a wind tunnel or something. And did it get tighter or-- MMPH!”
He was cut off by Elzo leaning a little more onto Josh, but also explaining, “Sorry about that, but getting rid of the bloat is the first step. Now I can get to work massaging away your meal here.” Crew jerked up violently as he lifted up off of him.
“He’s not my m- uuorup.” A small burp escaped from Josh, but it didn’t feel bad like before. Noting this to himself, he paused, making eye contact with his own belly, then Elzo. Then he nodded.
Elzo took that as a go-ahead and went to work. “Josh, what’s going on out-- aaghpf!” Crew was once again submerged in fluids that had been building slowly over the course of the past hour. What felt distinctly like hands were pressing against him from all over, pushing in and pulling out. They almost blended with the stomach’s own movements, earning a pleased grrrrn from it. It felt almost like he was clay, although he wouldn’t have much of a shape after this.
For Josh, it felt much better. He watched as Elzo kneaded his stomach like it was soft dough despite the very much solid person inside. As bad as he felt about the whole situation, he couldn’t deny that the massage felt... good. Really good. He strained to hold back a pleasured moan as it felt like his nausea was starting to just melt away. Unfortunately, he saw Elzo notice and give him a grin. Josh swallowed nervously and said, “Fffuck off. I’m not-- nn...” A moan barely managed to escape his lips before he could seal them shut.
“Oh, sure. I’m sure you’d prefer spending possibly days digesting your friend here... Even if your face betrays your feelings.” Elzo chuckled to himself, still pushing in and across, in circles, doing his best to help the human’s stomach with its meal. Crew was definitely becoming weaker under his hands, even if not yet much less solid... Perhaps that would take a while, even with his help. It amused him to see just how weak the human’s stomach was in comparison to his own, though maybe it would be better at the job in the future.
After about 10 more minutes of palpable homoeroticism, Elzo was done. Josh gasped as he finished, surprised by the massage ending. He looked down at his belly. He couldn’t quite tell from his angle whether it was smooth or lumpy. It was definitely still huge. “Is he... is he... done?” He asked, unsure which answer he wanted.
“He’s not soup, if that’s what you mean,” Elzo remarked casually. “No, your stomach is pretty weak compared to mine. I think it will still be a while before you get rid of him.”
Josh decided to risk a feel, putting his own hand on his stomach. He could definitely still feel Crew’s figure in there, although he wasn’t moving anymore, it seemed. “Oh man,” he whispered, “I can’t believe I did that. Sorry, bud.”
“Don’t feel sorry. It’s only natural.”
He shot a mean look back at Elzo. Even if there was nothing he could do, even if it felt... kind of nice... it was still Elzo’s fault. He put his hand over the middle and tried rocking the contents of his guts, just out of curiosity. It sloshed back and forth with much more ease than it should’ve. The feeling of his stomach shifting around like that made him blush unexpectedly and immediately cover his face.
Elzo jumped on the feeling immediately and said tauntingly, “Ooooh, does someone like the feeling of mulching his friend?”
He couldn’t even say no. It was clear as day what the truth was. Josh decided instead to just lay down, now hoping to just wait for it to all go away so he wouldn’t have to remember any of this. His eyes turned to Elzo who had his phone out and was... preparing to take a picture of his belly?! He said, tired, “Dude come on, what the fuck are you doing?”
Elzo just grinned and said, “It’s ‘vore day’ isn’t it? I think this would get some well-earned clout somewhere.”
“Please don’t post those photos... I don’t want to get in trouble.”
“Don’t worry, I’m only sharing the ones with your belly. It’s neat seeing the progress you’re making.”
Josh just groaned and draped his arm over his eyes. “I’m going to try and take a nap.”
*/^\*
When he woke up that evening, he felt remarkably refreshed. His body had started absorbing some of the cat inside him, but most of him was still left as a smoother bulge in his gut. That is, until he got up from the couch. It made a loud slorsh sound and transformed into a perfectly round dome as its contents rearranged. He was very glad Elzo had already gone to bed so he couldn’t see just how aroused he was by that.
The next day, he still wasn’t suitable to go outside. His belly was shrinking down, but it was still clearly a rather hefty gut for such a small frame. Not to mention, Josh found that his pants wouldn’t fit him anymore, something Elzo teased him for when he saw him walking around in just his underwear. Fortunately, their roommates were kind enough to have left behind looser fitting clothes.
After a week of hiding out in his apartment, it finally seemed like Crew had permanently settled on his body. He had hardly eaten a thing, but each day he had to watch as his body grew plumper and plumper. Mostly he had gotten an unusually large paunch, but the rapid weight gain also left clear stretch marks and a thicker ass, thighs, arms; even his face and chest were fatty. Elzo seemed genuinely delighted, even if he still enjoyed teasing. “Seems like you finally got some meat on your bones,” he would say. Josh shook off the compliments and teasing alike, but even he had to admit... He enjoyed the feeling. And his body was hungrier than ever before for something it couldn’t quite get. Hopefully if... when he does that again, it wouldn’t have to be a friend. But he wasn’t sure he’d mind if it was.
